”The Nest”
It is with great pride, that gallery Poulsen can present a solo exhibition with the icelandic artist Kristeifur Bjornsson. His work has been shown at the Tate Modern in London and later this year, he will present a big solo exhibition at the Fur Photographie museum in Braunschweig/Germany.
I first became acquainted with one of Kristleifurs photos about three years ago. It was one of the first from the series ” This Would Suit Her”.
I was immediately drawn to his universe of longing and desire. The particular photo plays out a quiet drama that even today, amazes me, every time I look at it.
Lingerie plays a major role in Kristleifurs universe, which can be seen in his work "I Would Love To Make You Radiate".
The artist has created a lingerie line himself, presented on the finest fur in perfectly executed showcases, where the desire almost grabs you through the thick museum glass.
Besides the new works, there will also be shown works from Kristleifurs other series. This way the gallery and artist are focusing on the individual work and wants to give the audience a glance into the entire Kristleifur universe.
