The Christmas Print 2010

"Blind Santa and The Horn Of Plenty"

 The Christmas Print 2010_40x40cm_700.jpg

Grenaae pokes out the eyes of Santa Claus

Over the past few years we may have become a bit more sinister and worrisome. The financial crisis has made us realize our uncontrolled consumption and replace it. On top of that The Morning countries are treating to reduce The Evening countries to minor sizes.
We still allow ourselves to celebrate the most capitalist event of them all; Christmas, and sadly, this might also come to an end soon.
Based on Hans Holbein the younger morbid world, today in 2010 Death lures the blind Santa Claus over the rocky ground. He did not realize the cornucopia he is walking on. The story is framed by ornamentation of banknotes. And the background, yes, a Rorschach tested world out of sync. Yet we are cheer on, as in the boxing ring the number girl sits with a sign that show us that we are at round 2010. The Christmas print of Lars Grenaae, which is not to be found elsewhere within the country, is not only a print of refined silk done with originality and proficiency, but it is also a prediction.
Buy it and hang it now – I bed it will make even more sense over the years – unfortunately!
