Gallery Poulsen at Art Herning 2024

This January, Gallery Poulsen will return to Herning to participate in Denmark's longest-running contemporary and modern art fair, Art Herning. As one of the most important art events in the country for more than 25 years, the art fair is deeply rooted in Gallery Poulsen's DNA, and it is with great pleasure that we once again go west to exhibit with the most excellent galleries in Denmark!

 

The 2024 edition of Art Herning will be Gallery Poulsen’s first participation in the art fair since our twentieth anniversary last year. We are therefore especially excited this year to once again, bring our Copenhagen-based gallery to Herning in the heart of Jutland, the place where it all started, where we are going to present new, intriguing, and intricate works from a carefully curated roster of international artists to our faithful audience and collectors in the western part of Denmark!

 

This year we are going to present new works from no less than sixteen different artists, representing a wide range of artistic practices, themes, and expressions. The large group of international artists has been specifically curated for this fair exhibition. It includes artists that are well-known to the Gallery Poulsen profile and collector base, as well as new faces who have only shown their works with the gallery on a few previous occasions. The artists who will have their Art Herning debut this year are German Tellez, Lorenzo Tonda, and Michael Ahlefeldt. In addition, we will also use this fair presentation to introduce American painter Zachary Lank to the Gallery Poulsen artist roster, who will exhibit with us for the very first time. Lank received his BFA from Pratt Institute in 2012 and his MFA from New York Academy of Art in 2018. He has since shown his large-scale paintings internationally at various galleries and art fairs from Hawaii to Hong Kong.

 

We are looking forward to returning to the birthplace of Gallery Poulsen, with a presentation that will be nothing short of spectacular. We hope to see you there!
