“Art is the highest form of hope.” – Gerhard Richter

These words come from Gerhard Richter, one of Germany’s greatest living artists, who previously served as a guest professor at the Städelschule in Frankfurt. And Frankfurt is precisely where Gallery Poulsen is heading as we once again venture onto the international art fair scene.

Germany is both a foreign country and our closest neighbour, making Frankfurt a natural destination as Gallery Poulsen adds a regional dimension to our international profile. For the very first time, we will be participating in the German art fair Discovery Art Fair – Frankfurt 2026.

For centuries, Frankfurt has been an international hub for trade and culture, and today it is a vibrant metropolis with a thriving arts and cultural scene, boasting more than 30 museums. With its many skyscrapers and distinctive skyline, Frankfurt am Main has earned the nickname Mainhattan, making it a fitting destination for Gallery Poulsen, where an international outlook has always been an integral part of our DNA.

Our roster consists primarily of internationally acclaimed artists with strong connections to art communities across the globe. We are therefore excited to introduce our programme to a new audience and, not least, to meet our many German, European, and international collectors face to face.

For Discovery Art Fair, we have curated a diverse booth featuring new works that represent the very essence of Gallery Poulsen: world-class figurative art. We are also particularly excited to introduce our audience to a brand-new name: award-winning British artist Rebecca Holton, who will be presenting three entirely new oil paintings.

We hope to see as many of you as possible in Frankfurt, both familiar faces and new acquaintances.

We have a limited number of tickets available for the fair, so please get in touch at [email protected] if you would like to join us.

For those of you who are unable to make it to Frankfurt, we hope you will follow along digitally as we share regular updates from the fair on our Instagram account, @gallerypoulsen.

After all, we agree with Gerhard Richter: Art is the highest form of hope, and that is something we should never deny ourselves.

Auf Wiedersehen!
