Heroes – An Exceptional Group Show
10. April - 2. May 2026
In a time full of uncertainty, crisis, and global challenges, we all need heroes. Not the ones with capes and superpowers, but the quiet, tireless heroes who make a real difference without seeking attention—those who help us through hard times behind the scenes.
The exhibition Heroes honors these everyday heroes: people and forces that rise in the darkness and give us courage and hope to keep going.
When the world is shaken by war, uncertainty, and unpredictability, the need for hope becomes clear. We see it in figures like Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the people of Ukraine, symbols of resilience in the fight for freedom and survival. Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela are other examples of historic heroes who stood up for freedom, civil rights, and democracy.
But heroism isn’t only found in historic events or on battlefields. It also exists in everyday work. For example, the artist who keeps creating even in difficult times. Art is a space to breathe, a platform for dialogue and free expression, a way to keep life, reflection, and community moving.
Where people once made sacrifices to the gods to secure the future, today we can turn to art and culture as guides. The intellectual and sensory power of art holds potential for change, hope, and renewal. It breaks down barriers, crosses boundaries, challenges taboos, and creates space for reflection and thoughtfulness.
Heroes is a celebration of invisible forces, quiet actions, and unwavering will that keep us together. We thank the artists who show through their work that heroism can take many forms—and that art itself can be a hero.
