A Birdcage, Until Further Notice
The three-person invitational exhibition titled A Birdcage, Until Further Notice, featuring Jud Bergeron, Ben Venom & Gianluca Franzese, continues to be on view in Gallery Poulsen on Staldgade 32, Copenhagen V.
The exhibition presents bronze sculptures by Jud Bergeron, geometric paintings with metal leaf by Gianluca Franzese, and large works in textile by Ben Venom. Together the works of the exhibition create a meeting point between diverse tactile properties that are all conveyed through abstract geometric compositions. The metallic expression of Bergeron’s hard and three-dimensional bronze sculptures is also present in Franzese’s geometric paintings in the metal leafing, and the balance and carefully composed shapes and patterns of these paintings are also experienced in Venom’s quilts made from repurposed textile. This creates a dialogue between the works of the exhibition that contributes to the expansion of our artistic understanding.
A Birdcage, Until Further Notice is open through May 21.
On May 27 we are opening the next exhibition in Gallery Poulsen. Tine Nedbo, the gallery's only Danish artist, has invited four artists who have never shown with us before to put together a large and diverse exhibition in our space at Staldgade 32, Copenhagen V.
The exhibition features Tine Nedbo, Anna Sofie Jespersen, Larissa De Jesús Negrón, Robin Rapp, and Noah Kanber.
The opening reception is on Friday, May 27 from 4 to 9 PM.
